Would Brent at CC and CHR mind someone posting a link? Those places get a bit of traffic. At CHR I'd bet you'd get quite a few new guys. Lots of gearheads there. ;)

What is CC and CHR?

I will check into it.

Could be a good idea.
Thanks

Got my lead to this site from Ed Hyslip, FFCobra Discussion Forum, GTM. I do like what I see so far.

Hey welcome to MCG. Do you have any muscle cars?

Ed, thank you for your note and in regards to your question, no. The pithiest summation: I currently live vicariously - a rather pathetic state of affairs indeed. I owned a number of muscle cars in my misguided youth. Some of them I bent beyond recognition and others I sold to those who were perhaps better stewards. However, there is a very clever plan. I will be retiring in the near-term and I am currently building a house. Once the wife of 35 years is happy, I will then build a decent size garage - 40’ x 60’ - which in-turn will contain a spiffy, very roomy, well heated and lighted work area that is to be fitted with a hoist, overhead galley crane and workbenches as far as the eye can see. Well, at least to the end of shop. Oh, and there will be a few tools as well. I have decided to build a FFR GTM. 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds are eyewatering numbers and I want my eyes to water - at least to 45 mph. While along the way, I want to build the bike that I always wanted but only now can afford. I will also take possession of a muscle car - make and model undecided - that is in need of care and make it right for the next generation. I owe that much to the cars I wreaked so many years ago. I am looking forward to the next chapter of my journey and this site will be a part of it.

That all sounds like me in about 20 years.

Sounds like a great plan.

I have to admit that in the past I was not a follower of internet forums. However, as I am now actively involved with several I am a convert. I think there are many areas to inform potential forum members about what you have to offer and exposure and variety are the key. Here are a few suggestions:

* Events are of primary importance and attendance at as many car shows as possible will help.
* It is always nice to give the potential member a small token gift to reinforce your conversation. This can be as simple as a nice business card with color graphics for impact or a useful pen or similiar item.
* Contest are fun and create "word". I am involved with our sister site www.acuraforum.com and we have conducted a few.
* Posting a variety of topics will attract and keep members involved. While our primary interest with this forum relates to muscle cars, I feel there should be a wide range of non-muscle car information.

So these are a couple of ideas, but I certainly like what I have seen wiht the site so far. Keep up the good work!
