I'm getting a serious case of lust for a 67 Nova Hardtop. Every time I see one I want it .
However, I just can't afford a restored model as the owners seem to think they are worth a bundle (and maybe they are these days).

Where would be best place to find a nice 67 Nova that may be original, need restoring, and be in good enough shape to be worth the time, money, and effort to restore.

An SS isn't essential, as a hardtop would be fine so I have a good base to start with. I would like to install disk brakes and sway bars all the way around, a nice small block chevy (maybe a LS1?), nice wheels and clean up the interior so it is a comfortable everyday driver as well as cruise in car.

What is your take on how you would restore one of these to your liking?

BTW, I saw the perfect 67 Nova SS at a local car show the other day. Beautiful midnight blue paint, a well done carbed 350 with just the right amount of bling, perfect original/restomod interior, disk brakes all around, 4 speed, with Coke bottles around and all the chrome redone to original. Man, I couldn't stop looking at that car and about talked to owner's ear off. Thank goodness he was patient with me and answered all my questions.

So, anyone else in serious lust about 66/67 Novas?

Bob
