hey guys i just purchased my first muscle car been dreaming for years of owning one so going against my wifes wishes i just jumped!!! i purchased a 1967 pontiac tempest it has a ohc6 with a 4bbl intake and a dual exaust manifold. my question is simple to some im sure but how do i find out if its a sprint car and also if it is should one restore it and leave the motor in it or ? i am wanting to make it into a street/weekend drag car but is that doing the car an injustice if its a real sprint? is this motor worth much? it runs and drives great but like so many others i wish it was a gto!(i know i am a wannabe too) i have figured out that it is a temest custom 2 door hard top w/black int and montego cream w/black top but that is all i can find?
