i am a new member, just bought a 66 gto head lights seem to be very poor is it possible wired backwards when the low beam is on the bottom lights are on ,thanks for any help, i have a 69 442 convertible and the light were wired backwards,
will be asking for lots of help since this is my first pontiac

Welcome to the Forum.

I would check for voltage drops on the power and ground circuits. For the power VD test connect a Volt meter red lead to battery positive and the black back probe the power lead for the HL. turn on the lights and the reading on the meter should be close to zero. If not you have a problem. You can check the ground on the HL the same way but put black lead on battery negative and the red back probem the ground for the HL.
